I’ve just gotten my second issue of a magazine for “young people,” which I’m thinking means middle school through high school. But I think I just may subscribe. It’s Logan Magazine, published in Spokane, Washington, and it will set me back $14 for a year’s quarterly subscription of slender issues.

So. I haven’t been here. You might have noticed. Or you might not.
The semester change and all its chaos has washed over me life a might wave, and I forgot my floaties. But I’m back, and I’ll begin to post again a bit more.
Thanks for showing up at my playground again.

On Sunday, August 9, 1942, Edith Stein died in the gas chambers of Auschwitz, and entered into eternal life with God.

From American Libraries Direct:
St. Ambrose to remove bishop’s name from library
Why? Bet you can guess…
“. . .the removal was warranted because of the bishop’s failure to take the necessary precautions to protect children from clergy sexual abuse that occurred during his tenure as bishop of the Davenport Diocese.

Catching up on my podcasts, I discovered LibVibe has just passed the one-year mark. Many of the Libraryland posts on this blog come from LibVibe stories and links. I’m always behind on my professional literature, but I can catch up with LibVibe in just a few minutes while walking to the bus stop. Thanks, Marv!

You’re addicted to caffeine. There’s no denying it.
You [...]

In today’s meditation, we read this interesting passage:
At Scifferstadt, however, a door might have been opened for a few moments, during which time, our Edith managed to recognize an ex-pupil standing on the platform and to convey to her greetings for her Sisters. “Tell [...]
